This is a magnificent late Victorian brooch!! A custom piece and truly a work of art. This has both 14K & 18K yellow gold and measures 2 7/16"L x 1 3/4"w x 1/4"d and weighs 17.2grs.
The base of this piece starts with a tested 18K yellow gold thimble. It has been cut in half and a backing put on to hold the pins. A bow pin has been attached to support each of the six pins, this is stamped 14k. Looking from your left, the first pin is stamped 14K and is the Moon & Star design. This is set with genuine tiny seed pearls.
The next pin is a Heart with an Arrow going through it, the arrow is set with a genuine turquoise stone at the point, and the Heart has seed pearls around the frame, I can't find a karat marking and on this one, also( after shooting the piece, we see a pearl is missing, right above the arrow, but it was in the bag. We will have this set back in place before it leaves the store).
The center pin is oval shaped and holds a lovely genuine Opal, it too is surrounded with seed pearls.
The next pin has a very rare Blue Zircon, it is bezel set in a double Never-ending circular pattern. The Zircon is in the top larger circle and accented with a .03ctw genuine diamond in the bottom smaller circle, and this is stamped 14K.
The next pin is a Circle design and set with genuine tiny seed pearls all around the edge, this is stamped 14K.
The last and final pin is centered and sits below the others, as you can see in the photos. This is a carved Insect which appears to be a Fly, it is made of genuine lovely Angel Skin Coral, I don't see a karat stamp on this piece.
