  • How to combine multiple auctions into one shipment - After you have won all the auctions for the items you wish to purchase, use the request total link from one of your won eBay auctions to request a combined item S&H quote. You must obtain a combined S&H quote and make a single combined PayPal or credit card payment for items to be shipped together. Many times customers pay before we have a chance to combine shipping, sometimes we catch it and correct it, sometimes it is missed. If payment for items is made individually, there is a possibility that the items will be shipped individually. In order to get combined shipping on items paid for individually, we must be contacted before shipment is made, otherwise there will be nothing we can do to combine shipments. Occasionally, items will be shipped together that are paid for individually, if this happens, email us via the eBay message system by using the Ask a question link below so we can issue a shipping over-payment refund.

Sales Tax & Fees

  • Michigan Sales Tax - A 6% sales tax is applied to the selling price of any item shipped within the state of MI (Calculation is made prior to adding S&H fees). This sales tax also applies to items that are pick-up in person, regardless of what state or country the buyer is from.
  • Shipping and Handling- Our S&H fees are clearly visible within the auction listing.
  • If you do not see shipping stated, it is possible you are looking at a freight shipment item (see below for more details on freight shipments) or you need to click the shipping and payments tab and enter your zip or postal code to see the shipping costs.
  • For all shipments (excluding freight) we charge actual shipping + a very minimal fee to help cover the cost boxes, tape, packing material, and insurance.

Shipping Methods

  • UPS and FedEx - Used for most items weighing over 4lbs that will not fit into a flat rate USPS box for the Continental (48) States and International shipments that weigh 21 lbs or more that will not fit into flat rate boxes - Services available are listed in the auction description.
  • All UPS packages are insured and include a tracking number.
  • All FedEx packages are insured and include a tracking number.
  • United States Postal Service (USPS) - Used for P.O. Box, APO, FPO, PR, GU, HI, AK for items weighting 4lbs or less for non-flat rate items and for items that fit into flat rate boxes that weigh 5lbs to 70lbs - and for most items, and for International shipments that weigh 4lbs or less for non-flat rate items and for items that fit into flat rate boxes that weigh 5lbs to 20lbs - Services available are listed in the auction description.
  • All USPS packages include delivery confirmation.
    • Actual shipping method used is at the discretion of Joes Outdoor Power.

Freight

  • Used for large and/or heavy items that makes it impractical or impossible to ship through any of the above shipping methods.
  • ALL FREIGHT CHARGES are Paid on Delivery to the freight company. Buyer is to only pay us the item cost, and any applicable tax and pallet fees only - tthere is a 20.00 pallet fee to cover the cost of the pallet, strapping, and wrap.
    • Please e-mail us for a freight quote - be sure to include your zip code and the item number.
    • All Freight quotes are ESTIMATES only and are NOT binding!
    • All freight quotes are for HOME DELIVERY with lift gate. Business delivery and dock pick-up are also options.

    VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We have a pretty good discount with our shipping company, if you have your item shipped to a business and they have an account with the same shipping company we use, you will be responsible for all additional shipping charges because if they have an account with the same company, their account will over-ride our account and their discount may be significantly lower than ours. We suggest that if the business has the same carrier as us, that you have the item delivered to your home of pick it up at the dock.

  • Buyers are NOT allowed to arrange their own shipping - NO exceptions.
  • We DO NOT ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or the holidays USPS does not run.

International Buyers

  • Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility.
  • Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
  • These charges are normally collected by the delivering shipping company or when you pick your item up, do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
  • We do NOT mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Delivery Times & Tracking Info

  • We ship most items within 1-2 business days of receiving payment, but may take up to 5 business days depending on volume of sales.
  • If you need your part right away, please indicate this when you make payment and we will do our best to get it out quicker.
  • Freight shipments usually ship within 3-7 business days of receiving payment, based upon contact and arrangements made with buyer.
  • Failure to provide a valid contact phone number for freight shipments will cause delays in shipment and/or delivery of items.
  • Tracking numbers for UPS and FedEx shipments are normally emailed via UPS or FedEx to the email address you have on file with eBay and posted in the sales details on eBay.
  • Tracking numbers for USPS shipments are normally emailed via eBay to the email address you have on file with eBay and posted in the sales details on eBay.

  • PRO numbers for Freight shipments are emailed from us to the email address you have on file with eBay.
  • Once a package leaves our possession, we no longer have physical control over it. The most we can do in most instances is track it, change delivery of it, or have it returned to us. As far as making it arrive quicker, arrive on a certain day, be put in certain locations, or other unforeseen problems (such as train wreaks or weather issues), we do not have much control over.
  • If the buyer provides an address that is no longer valid, but still on eBay or in PayPal, we are not responsible for mis-delivery or late delivery. It is up to the customer to make sure their records with both companies are current or for emailing us the correct information before their item is shipped.

Items Damaged or Lost in Transit

  • If you believe your item was damaged or lost in shipment, please contact us via eBay message system. Include your name, shipping address, phone #, item number(s), part number(s), and an explanation of the damages or loss. If there are damages, we will need photographs to be taken to provide reasonable proof of damage or to understand the problem.
  • Any product may be returned at the cost of the buyer for our inspection.
  • Insurance shipping claims vary depending on carrier. UPS claims usually take 1-8 days to approve while USPS claims can take 2-3 weeks. Be sure to retain the box in which the damaged item was received. If an item is damaged or lost in shipment, we can only ship out a replacement item once the shipping insurance claim is approved.
  • Lost USPS shipments - the Postal Service requires that you wait 30 days from the ship date to file a claim for lost shipments (to allow for the shipment to arrive), in which case we must then wait for the claim to then be approved, which may take an additional 2-3 weeks. We suggest you select another form of shipment if possible when placing your order or be prepared to have a backup plan in case this situation arises. We will gladly issue a refund or ship out a replacement item once the claim is approved. You may also contact us to reorder another item if we have it, while the claim is being processed and then receive a refund once the claim is approved.
  • *If WE request that a damaged part be returned to us,if within the Continental (48) US, a UPS call tag will be issued. The item must be packaged and ready for pick-up before we can issue the call tag. In some cases, a USPS shipping label will be sent via mail, the package must then be dropped off at your Post Office by you. Otherwise, reasonable return shipping charges will be refunded if the buyer ships the item on their own. In most cases, UPS will require the damaged item and pick it up without any requests being made by either party.
  • Proper shipping insurance must be obtained on all returns, even damaged items. If an UPS call tag is issued,, proper insurance is included.

* This section only applies to items damaged in transit.


Returns & Refunds (Read entire section)
  • Due to the nature of auctions and associated listing and selling fees, we do NOT accept returns for eBay auction items unless an incorrect item was shipped or the item is defective. By incorrect item, we mean what we send, not what the buyer orders.
  • Any purchase that is made where the buyer is not happy with the fitment, condition, or quality, please contact us via eBay message system. Include item number(s), part number(s), and an explanation of the problem. If a part is defective, we may need photographs to be taken to provide reasonable proof of defectiveness or to understand the problem.
  • If an incorrect or defective item is received, the correct/replacement item will be sent out once the item received is returned to us*. We can not send the correct/replacement item out until the returned item is received unless a duplicate payment is sent as a deposit, which will be refunded once the returned item is received.
  • With items that are defective, if within the Continental (48) US, an UPS call tag will be issued. The item must be packaged and ready for pick-up before we can issue the call tag. In some cases, a USPS shipping label will be sent via mail, the package must then be dropped off at your Post Office by you. Otherwise, reasonable return shipping charges will be refunded if the buyer ships the item on their own.
  • Proper shipping insurance must be obtained on ALL returns. If issued a UPS return label, proper insurance is included.
  • Any product may be returned within 14 days after it is received for any reason at the cost of the buyer; original shipping and listing/selling fees are not refunded for returns that are not defective or a result of negligence on our part.
  • ALL engines must be returned to verify why it failed.
  • All refunds are given the same way payment was received or via PayPal.
  • Credit card refunds can take up to 10 days before they post to the buyer account.

*Replacement parts are subject to availability and approval of defectiveness of the returned item. In some cases, a refund will be given without the need for the part to be inspected or returned.


Guarantee Details (Read entire section)

  • We do our best to insure that only good, quality parts are sold. Occasionally a bad one slips through. Becauseof this, we guarantee all* of our parts to be in good working condition and to be in the condition described in the auction.There are a few things we list that, because of the scarcity, value, or reparability of the item, we list in AS IS condition if they are not in working order.*Parts that are sold AS IS are not covered by our guarantee and are not eligible for any type of credit or refund.We guarantee you will receive the actual part that is pictured - unless part is misplaced, lost, or damaged, we will then contact you before shipping to make sure a substitute part is acceptable or to let you know about the issue and how it can be resolved. In some cases a substitute part will not be available and a full refund must be given.

Length of Guarantee:Electrical parts:

  • If it fails within 14 days, we will refund your payment or replace the part.
  • The 14 days start 6 business days AFTER the item is shipped.
  • Faulty parts may need to be returned to verify its condition.
Engines:
  • All engines are guaranteed to be in the condition described.
  • The guarantee on engines does not extend for any length of time. Once it is installed, if there is a problem we need to be notified immediately - NO EXCEPTIONS. We do allow time for shipping, delivery date will be verified and guarantee will be based on that date. If you wait to install the engine, attempt any repair, modify the engine, or fail to contact us immediately, there will be no return or refund on the engine - NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • ALL engines must be returned to verify failure. We have found that most engine failures are a result of customers not putting oil in the engines prior to starting them or something minor due to settling during shipment.
  • Engines that fail due to a customers negligence are NOT guaranteed.
  • ALL engines have the oil drained prior to shipment.
All other parts:
  • If it fails within 14 days, we will refund your payment or replace the part.
  • The 14 days start 6 business days AFTER the item is shipped.
  • Faulty parts may need to be returned to verify its condition.

*Replacement parts are subject to availability and approval of defectiveness of the returned item. In some cases, a refund will be given without the need for the part to be inspected or returned.


Non-payment & Holding items
  • Buyers have 7 days to pay, after which time the item(s) will be placed back in inventory.
  • Ebay customers will be subject to a non-paying bidder complaint and will not be allowed to bid or buy from us on eBay any longer.
  • We can only hold paid for items for 14 days after an auction ends unless other arrangements have been made. All arrangements must be made via email so we both have a record of the arrangements. Phone call arrangements are non-binding.
