Mesh vent keeps head much cooler that a bucket hat or baseball hat while still stopping UV rays as well as sun screen. The brim is wide enough to protect the face, ears & neck from the sun. The strap can be "stowed" by wrapping around back brim and still used when needed in windy conditions; it won’t blow off like other hats. They are cheaper than most bucket or baseball hats and sweat does not show as easily on outside as many other hats.
