Your old tire may be tubeless, you can replace it with a tube type, you simply remove the tubeless stem from the whee, tube type is far better. On the garden carts and wheelbarrows with the tubeless tires many people have trouble with them leaking down and popping off the beads from lack of daily use. If the tire sits flat the sidewalls dry rot and crack open. Every time you go to use it they are flat and you are fighting to air it back up tubeless! With tubes in them they do not seep down like the tubeless ones, tube type tires will eventually lose some air pressure over long periods of time however you simply air them back up without the hassle of getting the beads to seat again like tubeless ones.
