STEAMPUNK ICON NATHANIEL JOHNSTONE FROM ABNEY PARK

Nathaniel was a lot of work!  I hand-felted his dreads and made his "falls" out of various other materials after painstakingly rerooting his hair with wool roving.  But it is time for someone else to enjoy these little guys so here goes...

I created this 1:12-scale likeness using wool roving, antique watch parts, acrylic paint, fimo and reclaimed clothing and doll from various yard sales and thrift stores.  His signature mix-matched socks were crocheted by my friend Dian Mali of Apothecary Crafts.
