Species orchid native to South America, this plant is the national flower of Columbia. This spectacular yellow blooming Cattleya led to most of our modern day yellow Cattleya hybrids. These plants sold in England for enormous sums of money when they were first brought there by early plant collectors. Blooms with large yellow flowers with red lips that are veined in gold, wonderfully fragrant! This is a seedling of a self cross of a very good clone of Cattleya dowiana 'Aurea' that we expect great things from.
-Shipped in a four inch pot, the buyer will receive a plant that's 6 to 8 inches tall! This plant is one to two years from blooming size.
