yourdecoshop photo wall murals consist of up to 10 individual parts, with single units of 100cm x 140cm (W x H). Each unit is numbered on the back to avoid mixing up the units.

Surface Preparation

Proper preparations are the most important thing! For a long-lasting delight with your motif, we recommend to assure that the surface onto which you want to attach yourdecoshop photo wall mural has the following features:

Clean
Smooth
Dry
Sustainable

Irregularities (holes, cracks, etc.) of your wall have to be repaired carefully. Make sure you have removed all wallpaper residues completely. Latex and oil-based paints have to be grinded off beforehand. Highly absorbent surfaces must receive a prime coating for a smooth and uniformly absorbent surface. This allows the wallpaper paste to be absorbed best by the wall, ensuring adequate drying of your photo wall mural.

Application Made Easy

Before applying your photo wall mural, you have to cover it with wallpaper paste with an exposure time of at least 3 minutes. Then, you have to cover your wall with wallpaper paste, before attaching the single tracks piece by piece. (Each track is numbered 1-8 to avoid a mix up!). Important note: Assure you attach all pieces edge to edge for a perfect result. Surplus wallpaper paste can be wiped off with a damp cloth which prevents unpleasant stains. Use a cutter knife to create smooth edges and achieve a custom-fit result. Furthermore, avoid a draft and overheating of the room since the wallpaper paste is still active until its complete drying.

Need a change of scene?
It's best to use wallpaper remover which can be purchased at any DIY store; or simply make it yourself: fill a bucket with water, add a few splashes of dishwashing liquid and apply the mixture lavishly to the mural. After a short exposure time you can easily remove the paper from the wall.
