this device to bring dual band capability to your desktop or laptop
PC. No built-in Wi-Fi card is required, this is a standalone Wi-Fi
receiver. It connects to your computer with included USB cable, and the
antenna is detachable so you can use it with any of our RP-SMA antenna
upgrades we sell, or it can be used with outdoor antennas with the
correct converter cable.
The
benefits of dual band networking
Almost every ISP that provides a router will offer a single band (2.4
Ghz router). 2.4 Ghz is the most common type of Wi-Fi band in the US.
However due to popular demand, more carriers including Cox
Communications are offering customers dual band Wi-Fi routers that
operate on both the 2.4 and the 5 GHz frequency. These dual band
routers are also sold online and in retail stores. These routers
broadcast two separate Wi-Fi networks at the same time, one on each
band. If your computer only supports 2.4 GHz, which is most likely, you
cannot connect on the 5 GHz band which is a faster spectrum with much
less interference. A dual band upgrade like AWUS052NH from Alfa means
you can install the software and plug it into your USB port and begin
taking advantage of the 5 GHz performance. A dual band router is
required to see benefits from this product. It is also compatible with
2.4 GHz networks but will work like a standard Wi-Fi receiver with 2.4
GHz signals.

and Windows Vista,
Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, or Windows 10.
This works on Microsoft Surface Pro tablets running Windows 8 or 10 (requires
driver download) but does NOT work with Windows Surface RT tablets or
other tablets/laptops running Microsoft Surface RT, which looks like
Windows 8/10 but is actually a locked down version of Windows that does

2016, so unfortunately rates are much higher than in the past. It can take 2-4 weeks or
longer to arrive. This is primarily because the item can be held at
customs for inspection for a long period.

charges are normally collected by the delivery person or when you pick

There is no restocking fee for defective or not-as-described items, or
items returned for exchange. Otherwise we charge a minimal 10%
restocking fee to help cover original postage which is included in the
item price. We believe this is a fair policy as many retailers do not
allow for any non-defective returns, and the ones that do typically
charge a 20% restocking fee with only a 14 day return window. If you
