VINTAGE HUDSON SCOTT & SONS TIN CARLISLE ENGLAND

This is a vintage Hudson Scott & Sons tin that measures 4 ¾” x 4 1/8” x 3” tall. The tin is marked between the hinges, “ The Metal Box Company Ltd…. Hudson Scott & Sons Ltd. Branch Carlisle…Regd. No. 805371”. The bottom of the box is embossed, “ Container made in England”. The design is floral in yellow, orange, black colors with gold trimming. There is some wear to surfaces …as in the photo. No dents. Gold tone metal inside. Hudson Scott began manufacturing metal boxes in 1922 using "The Metal Box Company" name. This is a nice old tin box.
