Description: A rare antique 1917 Pennsylvania Licensed Driver metal pin-back badge or tag. This chromed metal license is oval in shape, has a curved shape and a pin on the back. It is stamped on the front with the words "1917 Pennsylvania 55186 Licensed Driver" with the Pennsylvania Keystone in the background. The back has no markings of any kind. The stamped lettering is colored in black as is the keystone. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Origin: Pennsylvania USA
Size: Measures 2 1/2" by 1 5/8". The piece is substantial and weighs about 17.2 grams.
Maker: Unknown.
Marks: No markings as to the maker.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a rare antique driver license in such a great shape which is very hard to come by.
Condition: If this was a coin, I would grade it very fine or better with all details present and minimum wear. The Piece is all there with no breaks, cracks, or distortions. It has some losses of the black coloring of the lettering, but that does not really distract from the quality of the piece. In addition, the piece has some scratches and wear commensurate with its age and utilitarian function. Please view photos for additional condition information.
