We appreciate immediate payments on eBay purchases. Unpaid items after will be removed and/or relisted on eBay for more serious buyers after 5 days from auction end. Items sold by The Shutterbug, and shipped to destinations in the states of California, Florida , Massachusetts and Washington D.C. will be assessed all relevant State and Local Taxes. Some buyers may be subject to use tax. The amount of tax charged depends upon many factors, including the type of item purchased, and the destination of the shipment. If an item is subject to tax in accordance with applicable state tax laws, those taxes will be added to your bill during checkout.

Items usually ship within 1-2 business days after receiving cleared payment. No shipments are made on Saturday's or Sunday's. We will only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses. Most items are shipped using USPS, however UPS may be used to ship larger items. PO Box numbers can only be shipped to using USPS. Return Policy

You may return* merchandise purchased from The Shutterbug for a refund up to 7 days from receipt, or a replacement* up to 30 days from receipt, provided that the procedures and requirements referred to in our return policy are followed. All product returns require a return authorization number (RA). An RA number must be issued within 30 calendar days after the ship date; it will be valid for 14 calendar days after it is issued. All returned merchandise must be in original factory box and factory packaging (foam, plastic, wrapping, etc.), peripherals (battery, charger, cords, straps etc.), including warranty cards (without markings), and all instruction booklets and paperwork. The RA number or any other inscriptions must not be written or printed on the product box or packaging. We will not process the return if any of these conditions are not followed.

Removal or alteration of a product's UPC number, serial number or UPC/serial number sticker will automatically void your return. Products that are returned to The Shutterbug with a missing, damaged or altered serial number will be refused and returned.

Non-Returnable Items

Consumable, Perishable, and/or Sensitized items, such as: Paper, Ink, Lamps, Bulbs, Batteries, and Software; Car Stereo, DJ and Home Audio; DVD Players; Video Games and Consoles; Home and Kitchen Appliances; Personal Care; Printers and Scanners; Projection Screens; Televisions; Headphones/Earphones; Special Order items; Open Box items; Items with Rebates; and all items over $1200.00. Purchases from these categories are final. In case any of these items is defective, Customers must return them to the respective authorized service centers, for repair or replacement at the option of the Manufacturer. These items cannot be returned to The Shutterbug.

Refunds

A restocking fee of 15 percent may apply to the value of all merchandise returned for a refund. If you are returning a product with the intention of purchasing different merchandise, this restocking fee may be waved as long as the product being exchanged is in the same exact condition as received, e.g. New or unopened condition. We will only refund the value of the merchandise returned, not the shipping charge.

If a product is offered with "Free Shipping," this means that we are paying the shipping fees on your behalf. If that product is returned for any reason, our standard shipping charges will be deducted from your refund or credit.

Exchanges

If you purchased a product from The Shutterbug that you request to exchange for an alternative, you can return the item for a refund and simply place a new order for the item you desire. We will apply a refund credit to your new purchase.

Defective Items

An item that was discovered to be defective upon receipt can be replaced* with the same model only. You may also return a defective item for a refund, however a 15 percent restocking fee may apply. The processing fee will only be applied if you choose to return the item for a refund. We will certainly replace* an item that was defective prior to receipt, without restocking fee.

Damaged Items

All packages are inspected for damage before they ship from our warehouse. If your package has been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately. We must be informed of all shipping related claims within 10 calendar days after the date of receipt. We do not issue refunds for returns of damaged merchandise. An item that was discovered damaged upon receipt will be replaced with the same model only.

Return Shipping

Return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to our store) is like or comparable to your cost of driving to any store for returning an item, which is not reimbursable. Therefore, we do not reimburse any return shipping cost.

If an item you received is defective, we will certainly replace the item with a new one, however we do not cover or reimburse the shipping cost for returning defective merchandise back to our store. We will ship the replacement product to you at our cost, and use every good measure to ensure that the replacement order is precessed in a timely manner.

Replacement

We will send a product replacement after the authorized return has completed our receiving and inspection process. The replacement will ship within four business days following our receipt of your return. Please allow additional processing time after Holidays. Although it is our goal to ship a replacement as quickly as possible, we do not send replacements before we receive and inspect the returned merchandise.

To receive a replacement more quickly, you may place a new order for the same item, and we will issue a refund for the full value of the returned product, upon completion of our return process.
