Being presented for sale is this magnificent Antique Victorian Carved Mahogany Full Figural Man of the Mountain Library Table with Carved Paw Feet Attributed to RJ Horner circa 1890. This is positively a stunning table with a grand presence and equally beautiful on all four sides. We believe this table to be the work of RJ Horner.
This table measures 29 inches in height,54 1/2 inches wide and 34 inches deep, with a skirt height to the floor of 24 1/2 inches and weighs approximately 125 lbs.
This quality table is executed in rich solid mahogany and offers a gadrooned edge above a fully carved table apron with the front having a single drawer with a carved lion face pull. This table is raised up on four large full figural Man of the Mountain with each resting on a wonderfully carved paw foot with a solid flat stretcher and four carved paw bun feet.
This fine table is very solid and sturdy and in wonderful antique condition. There are a couple of areas of the gadrooned edge that are missing which I have shown in close up pictures...these appear to have been missing for some time and doesn't affect the grand presence of this powerful statement piece!
