2 volumes bound as one, published by Bentley, London 1838 Rare in such condition; the cheapest complete copy on abebooks is £385. Bound in half leather over green boards with gilt title, decoration and raised bands to spine. Some light rubbing to these, but still nice and firm all round. There is a split to the inner spine (see pic 7) but again, still sound. Includes both title pages, the portrait of Grimaldi and the contents sections to both vols. Also, the list of plates (or 'Embellishments') and the introductory chapter. Clean and neat internally, with some browning and foxing to plates and text. The photos give an honest impression (although the pink tint is from my camera, not the book!) A great opportunity to buy one of the rarest of Dickens' works set with a reasonable reserve- good luck!
