1973 Volvo P1800 ES Sport Wagon
Two Owners, and same owner since 1978
Local Sold and Serviced Volvo with extensive service
documents included.
As Volvo stated in its marketing of the P1800ES, it was
designed as an instrument of pleasure.
It was intended for two people who want to get away from it quickly with
all the luggage they need to take their time about coming home.
These cars were built to be true touring cars, with great
design and comfort. Volvo bragged about
how the seats were designed by orthopedic surgeons for maximum comfort and
adjustability. The neat thing about the
design is that you could have back seats of fold it all flat to haul luggage or
two sets of golf clubs.
Volvo put in a 2-liter four cylinder that is fuel injected
for great power and reliability. Matched
to a 4-Speed manual with electric overdrive.
Power disc brakes were standard, for the time some of the best brakes
you could get.
This car that I am selling is a real time capsule. With great pedigree and local for its entire
life, this is a true collectors find.
The car has stacks of service receipts dating back to 1978. The car is all original and not
restored. When I got the car the roof
and hood was a little faded, so it was re-sprayed to match.
Mechanically the car is very solid. The electric overdrive works smoothly along
with all the other features. Only thing we found not working is the gas
gauge. It is all stock and not
modified, including the original Volvo radio deck. It does not have any rust issues or damage
history. This car is a true survivor in
condition.

On Mar-09-16 at 11:17:48 PST, seller added the following information:To some that are correcting me, you are correct this is a 1800 ES, the P was dropped on the later cars, but most of us refer to these cars as P1800 even so..
Also this is one of the last 100 cars made for this series of cars, pretty cool!
