I buy and/or consign collectible high grade pipes! If you have any high grade pipes that you would like me to buy or consign for you, please contact me, and I will be happy to work with you!

You are bidding on an enjoyed only ONE TIME condition, honey amber high contrast stained smooth straight grain "Bent Half Saddle Egg" shaped pipe, with a hand cut ebonite stem, that was hand carved in Copenhagen, Denmark by the world renown pipe carver, Mr. Former Nielsen. This pipe is stamped as his top grade "Free Hand" model.

Former Nielsen is one of the oldest early Danish pipe makers who are still crafting pipes. His work is legendary. Former has forgotten more about pipes making than most pipe makers know! He is "the best of the best!"

The combination of the classic "Former" bowl shape with the beautiful grain combine to produce one sensational looking pipe.

This pipe possesses a perfect balance with an exceptionally comfortable hand feel, and an effortless draft. A pipe cleaner will pass to the bottom of the bowl. The German ebonite stem is beautifully cut and will be comfortable on the mouth. This pipe was crafted to world class engineering standards!

Here are the dimensions of this outstanding ultra high grade hand crafted pipe: The overall length is about 5.50". The bowl height is about 1.75". The tobacco chamber is about 0.80" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's 1.75" angled inner depth. (The angle differential between the inner and outer bowl is why they measure the same. There is at least 0.15" thickness of briar at the bottom of the bowl.) Tobacco capacity is about that of a Group 5 to 6 size Dunhill pipe. It weighs 65 grams.

The original pipe bag as pictured below is included.

Again this pipe was enjoyed only one time. All  I had to do is lightly wipe out the tobacco chamber, sanitize the stem, run a pipe cleaner through the shank, and apply a coat of wax to the pipe. It presents itself as if it were brand new! Of course, the bowl coating is the original to the pipe.

I am running this as a Private Auction so that you can bid on this pipe without worrying about stepping over your fellow pipe collector friend's bid, as well as keeping the winning bidder's name private. This beautiful high grade Former Nielsen pipe deserves discretion. I know that there will be serious interest in this pipe! If requested, I will send an e-mail to the winning bidder, showing all of the bidding action at the close of this auction. I want you to bid with the highest of confidence and know that the winning bidder will get to see the list of the other bidders.

Once again, this is a (10)TEN-DAY(10) no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high bidder to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with bidding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high bidder at the close of this auction, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection!

Please read and review my eBay ratings and comments. Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions that you may have about this pipe. I want you to bid with the highest of confidence!

The following are approximate shipping charges. The ACTUAL shipping charges will be calculated at the end of the auction. They may be more or less, depending on the final value of the pipe:

The winning bidder will include an additional $20.00 for Priority Mail shipping, tracking, and insurance.  (Foreign bidders will remit payment by Pay Pal ONLY and will include an additional $75.00 for International Insured EXPRESS Air Mail shipping. As per both Bay and Pay Pal rules, this pipe will ship both fully insured, with the full value declared for customs. You may have to pay additional duty. No exceptions.)

Payment in full must be made within 48 hours of the close of the auction. No exceptions.

Thank you for your interest. Please do not forget to check out my other auctions! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
