From the author: This book contains 9 sweater patterns all knit with the garter carriage using designs from Design Favorites Book by Lois Blystone.  These designs are also in the back of this book but Design Favorites contains more.  All of the sweater can be knit on any electronic machine and most can be knit on the punch card models.  The large designs would have to be adapted and  or use only your favorite section of the card. All the patterns are written so the bust measurement is of the garment so you can allow the amount of ease you like.  I have tried to include a wide range of styles with long and short sleeves.  There is also many different and easy neckline styles.
