eBay

You are bidding on one vintage Photoclip self-timer in its original case as pictured.

The timer is marked "MADE IN SWITZERLAND PHOTOCLIP RECTA DEPOSE". The body is about 31mm in diameter.

The case is marked "PHOTOCLIP MADE IN SWITZERLAND" and also has a partial decal as shown.

I believe that this was a Leica accessory.

Condition of the timer is very good. It functions as expected, including the little lock. Condition of the case is very good, with some scuffs and scratches, and the decal is only partially intact.

SHIPPING: under 1 pound. (see below if you are bidding outside the US)

I sell what I enjoy, and I collect antique woodworking tools and I enjoy photography! The queue is overflowing with camera goodies right now, as they seem to be finding me faster than I can list them. So please keep watching my auctions as I have LOTS more to list! Or if there is something specific that you are looking for, please let me know so that I can get it listed for you to consider.

You might ask: How can I know when you start new listings? The answer: please click the "sign up for newsletter" link that is just above and to the left of this description, and you will get an email every Friday with my new listings, as well as an email whenever I put any of my Buy It Now items on sale.

ETHICS IN DESCRIPTIONS: I also buy for my collecting on eBay, and I have been burned too many times by misleading (duh did I forget to mention .......) descriptions, and auctions with pictures only of the left side because the right side was trashed. Life is much simpler for me if I disclose what I know or see about an item before you bid, and especially before you receive it in the mail. And why are there so many listings where the seller says both “I have no idea if this is working or usable” and “As-is with absolutely no returns”? Personally, I think that is often code for “I know these are crap, but I am pretending that I don’t know”. I don’t like that and won’t play that way. I clean every used filter at least enough to be able to see its condition, and you can return it if you aren’t happy. I come from the handshake school of doing business, and hopefully you are like me and understand what that means. What goes around, comes around.

RETURN POLICY: I believe that if you give honest descriptions, and include enough pictures, you shouldn't need a return policy. However, that doesn't mean that I won't make an occasional mistake. Please bid with the assurance that if I have made an error in my listing, I WILL take care of you. And if you have made an error, and bought the wrong size, for example, I will still take care of you (but I’ll let you pay the shipping!).

SHIPPING INSIDE THE US: I would rather that you spend your money on my stuff, and not on shipping. So I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based on what is the least expensive, and what is needed to protect the item. I package well, and have a great track record of getting everything to each buyer, and getting it there in one piece. I use the US Post Office for everything, and I often find it is cheaper to use their Priority Mail flat rate boxes for heavier items (see below).

WASHINGTON STATE BIDDERS: I hate to do this, but if I ship to a Washington address, no matter where you actually live, I either have to charge Washington State sales tax, or receive a valid resale form.

AUCTIONS: I won’t end an auction listing early to sell it to you directly. As a bidder, I really dislike going back at the end of an auction to bid, only to discover that the seller had ended the auction early. So I won’t do that for you, or to you.

WINNING MULTIPLE AUCTIONS: Wherever it makes sense, I will combine your purchases to save on shipping. But, after the auctions are over, you have to WAIT for me to put together your invoice, as the eBay computer cannot do that automatically.

USPS POSTAGE RATE INCREASE AS OF January 23, 2012: Just about everything went up effective January 23, 2012 – domestic and international.

USPS PRIORITY MAIL FLAT RATE BOXES FOR HEAVY OR MULTIPLE ITEMS: The US Post Office has two sizes of their medium Priority Mail Flat Rate box (one size is 11-7/8" x 13-5/8" x 3-3/8" and the other is 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"), plus one size of their large Priority Mail flat Rate box (12" x 12" x 5-1/2"), and one size of their small Priority Mail Flat Rate box (8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"). For each size the postage stays the same regardless of weight, with a 70 pound limit within the US and a 20 pound limit for international shipments.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: This gets much more complicated, and costly. I use the US Post Office for everything, and essentially there are now two choices – First Class Mail and Priority Mail.

INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS MAIL: This choice is much less expensive than Priority, but it can be very, very slow, and the tracking is very limited. And it can only be used for small envelopes or packages that weigh less than 4 pounds. Light items weighing a few ounces can be shipped overseas for under $10.00, and even less to Canada. But it can be very slow, and once I have mailed your purchase, there is nothing I can do to make it get to you any faster. The delay can be getting through customs, and again there is nothing I can do to make it go through customs any faster.

INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY MAIL: This choice is more expensive than First Class, but is quicker and the tracking is much better. And there are no limits on size or weight, and the flat rate boxes can be used for international shipments. The minimum rate for a package with tracking and insurance is the one pound rate, and that will cost about $25 to Canada and about $35 overseas. The rates go up from there by weight and size. Five pounds to Canada is about $35, and five pounds overseas is about $55. A medium Priority Mail flat rate box is $35 to Canada, and $50 overseas, to give you some idea of what the shipping will cost. If you aren’t sure, please ask before bidding.

MY POLICY ON INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS WITH A VALUE UNDER $20.00: I will ship most of these via First Class Mail, unless they are too large or too heavy.

MY POLICY ON INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS WITH A VALUE OVER $20.00: Once the value goes over $20, everything goes Priority Mail. I know that is more expensive, but the tracking and insurance protection for me as the shipper is so much better with Priority, that I have been forced to use Priority for anything over $20. If you have bought several items that are each under $20, but add up to over $20, I may elect to ship them individually via First Class.

MY POLICY ON CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. And I will not reduce the value, declare your purchase to be a gift, or in any way be dishonest on the customs declaration. If I were willing to be dishonest on the customs declaration, shouldn’t you be worried that I might be willing to be dishonest somewhere else?

PACKAGING: Please check my feedback -- I package well. I figure if you take the time to purchase from me, then I can take the time to package it well, and not just throw it into a cereal box with a scrap of newspaper.

I hope someday I will meet some of you as we trudge the happy road of eBay collecting!

If you have questions about anything I have listed, especially about shipping costs or whether you can mail payment for your new treasure, please ask. Good luck!
