Hello and welcome to Lullaby Lane Studio! My name is Susan and I am the artist behind this awesome and truly realistic baby girl. Malia is from the sold out, Limited Edition Realborn "Asleep Presley" kit produced by Bountiful Baby. Realborns are real baby replicas, created directly from computer photometric scans of a precious real newborn baby!
I fell in love with this sculpt the moment I laid eyes on it! I am so pleased with how she turned out and am sure her winning bidder will be thrilled as well!
I have taken Malia's photos in a variety of lighting settings throughout the day so you can see just how she will look in your home . You will note that her skin-tone and hair color may seem different from one photo to the next. This is due to the natural lighting at the time I took the photos as well as the colors she is wearing and the background colors in each photo. She may look to have a slightly yellow undertone in some of the photos but this is due to my camera-she is truly a gorgeous deep mocha color in person.
Please Note: I ask that any bidder with less than 5 positive feedbacks contact me prior to bidding. I apologize for having to make this request but the selling environment has become more challenging with non-paying bidders and most of those have been new eBay members that may not understand the responsibilities that come with placing a winning bid. Malia's true-to-life coloring was achieved using permanent Genesis heat set paints in many, many ultra-thin layers. Each translucent layer of paint was permanently heat set to give her the beautiful "living skin" that she now has. Much time and care was given to capture the perfect coloring, shading, mottling and blushing of a newborn AA baby. You will not believe the details until you actually hold her in your arms-this I promise!
You will see that no detail was ignored! Malia has finely-painted eyebrows and temple hairs, which perfectly blend with the color of her hand-rooted black hair and lashes. Her lips have been tinted with several layers of different colors to achieve the natural coloring of a real baby and then have been triple sealed with a sheer sealant as have her perfectly manicured toes and fingernails. I have chosen to not open her nostrils as it wasn't necessary for added depth.
Malia's hair has been meticulously hand-rooted with ultra-premium black, slightly-curly mohair and the head has been sealed inside so that her hair can be gently wet and styled to your liking. All the mohair I use is ultra premium and is so soft, silky and realistic looking. You will see that great care was taken in the rooting of her hair. She was given a directionally-rooted "crown" just like a real baby .
Malia has soft 3/4 vinyl arms & legs so she can wear almost anything you would like to put her in. She has been weighted with small polished glass beads, poly pellets, and "Cluster Stuff". Malia will cuddle perfectly in your arms and lay her head on your shoulder when you lay her to your chest.

Shipping costs for the baby within the Continental U.S. via USPS priority insured mail will be $36. This will be a discount on shipping as this is a heavier & bulkier package due to the giftbox that comes with this doll .
International priority shipping will be at a rate of $75. (This will be below my cost but I will pay the difference). We ship via International Priority Mail only with full value insurance. International bidders should be aware of all custom fees and policies for items being shipped into their country prior to bidding, as these are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

From UAE Hi Sue, I have my baby! The post office where I had to pick her up is in the city and is about 35km from where we live. When we got there, they told me to go around to customs to pick her up. At customs we had to wait almost an hour, there were very busy. When it was finally our turn, they went to get the box and I had to sign for it. An older man at customs opened the box and looked inside. One of the Arab ladies at customs was working on her pc but I think her eye caught Rhoswen. She immediately got up and walked over and peeked in the box. She carefully touched Rhoswen as if she was alive, and then suddenly took her out of the box and held her up and looked at her. She then looked at me and said "she looks so real!" She was really surprised. She then ran with Rhoswen to the back offices and I could hear all the ooohs and aahs from there. It felt like forever before she came back with my little girl. Then a few Arab men arrived and they were like, can we touch her, she is so real, ...There were almost worse than women, hahaha. And there I stood on the other side of the counter and I so badly wanted to hold my little Rhoswen too. By then I have only seen her from a distance. The lady did not want to let go of her, lol. After everybody had a look at Rhoswen, the old man told her to put the baby back in the box. She then wanted to take a picture and only then gave her back-but very reluctantly. She absolutely loved Rhoswen.
Only then I got my precious little elfling and could hold her and looked at her for the very first time. She was jut the most beautiful little thing. The old man then told me to put her back in the box, lol, I told him that I would carry her but he insisted, he said he did not want the "baby" to be damaged and that she would be safer in the box. Out of respect for the lovely old man, I wrapped her in her blanket and he took her from me and put her back in the box ever so carefully. ..He handled her like a real baby, awwww...that was so sweet.
As soon as we got in the car, I got her out of the box again, lol. She is just so precious, I could not stop looking at her. Her hair is soooo soft and absolutely amazing. Her skin is sooooo soft and I was so happy that you did not use the mat sealer on her, I love how soft her skin feels. And her skin tones and eyes are simply amazing! I'm sure that's why everyone loved her so much, they kept saying she is so real and her eyes are so real.
Sue thank you, thank you so much for Rhoswen. The people that did not bid any higher on her don't even know what they have missed. She is simply perfect in every way. Both her outfits are gorgeous, I so love the one you made yourself. Thanks again for the most beautiful little elfling. I love her with all my heart and will treasure her always. She is definitely a keeper...I have always admired your babies, for many years now. Finally I have one of your babies and I'm over the moon with her. Your babies are amazing indeed.

Hello Susan!! Technically, this page should be blank because I AM SPEECHLESS!!! My baby is MAGNIFICENT! Oh my gosh Oh my gosh Oh my GOSH!!! She is so beautiful & sweet...You are an incredible artist! Every finger looks separate & real, even when they are joined by vinyl between them. I am amazed. The perfection of the shadowing is exquisitely perfect.
EVERYWHERE on this baby all shading and shadowing adds enormously to her
look of realness. I have been sitting with her, just staring with awe
and wonder. I would ask "how do you do that (make your babies look truly
REAL)?!" but since I have an artist's background, I do know how you did
it, and therefore, I do know what an enormous amount of meticulous work
you did! And that hair---so soft and honey colored--so babylike it's
amazing! It would take me a novel to describe all of the infinite, artistic wonder of my angel!...Well, I will close for now. I am literally breathless...Thinking of you with humble gratitude.

Your work is beautiful and his packaging was so nicely done as well...(and in a second email): I can't tell you enough how much I love him. His coloring and his hair are gorgeous. He looks so realistic that when my grand daughter came home from school today she through he was real at first. We just spent the last hour dressing and cuddling him.

Her coloring is just amazing and her weight is perfect. When my daughter was born, 42 years ago, she had the same beautiful complexion, about the same weight and was a blond baby. I am in love...I have been viewing this style of doll for many years and yours is the first that drew me in, from your pictures. Belle looks even better in person. Hi Sue, Sophia arrived today and she is unbelievably realistic. As soon as I started opening the box, a baby like aroma filed the air. When I peeled back the tissue paper to see Sophia in person I was really taken back how real she looked--sound asleep all cuddled up and comfy in the box as if it was her cradle. If the mail man only knew he was carrying a sleeping little girl in the box. LOL I especially like her life like weight . That was one of the reasons I chose to purchase her. It makes her that much more realistic. She is going to be the perfect gift. It's hard to believe that she is only a doll. It's obvious that you have a lot of experience and take a lot of time in creating your babies. The special care and time you took to package her and all the extras up is also appreciated.
