    Description

Here is a rare original May 1969 Schwinn Stingray "PEA PICKER" 20" Krate MUSCLE BIKE! (EE Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!)

*This is agruably one of the very COOLEST Schwinn bikes of all time! EVERY kid wanted one back in the day... few were lucky enough to own one. You did not see them often back in the day, and almost NEVER see them in any condition these days! They were designed after the drag racing muscle cars of the time! They hit the nail on the head with this one! They are SO cool!

*The bike is LOADED with cool options only found on the top of the line "Krate" series at the time. The bike has the cool correct "cantalever" 5-speed Schwinn frame, cool wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, chrome Schwinn SPRINGER front forks,  cool Schwinn BOW pedals, chrome front and rear fenders,  5-speed "Mag" sprocket, cool rear SHOCKS sissy bar and so much more! It has the cool Schwinn S7 front rim with the correct ATOM drum brake. The rear wheel is a 5-speed S2 Schwinn rear wheel. Both front and rear tires hold air. The front tire is a Schwinn. The rear tire is a slightly newer replacement. (ok for display or replace for riding) I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! Though it is not flawless, I think the paint is fair for a 45+ year old BOYS bicycle! (love original paint krate bikes!) The chrome is shiney but not perfect show quality.  It has the correct 5-speed chainguard. (has a newer decal that doesnt look great)  The bike has the cool 1969 only 5-speed STICK SHIFTER and with operable hand controlled brakes. (YES, even has the overload tube in place) I think this style shifter is super comfortable for riding! It shifts and brakes. (could use standard fine tuning.  Seat is cool but has rips an no rear tag. LOVE the Krate series of bikes!

*The Krate series of bikes is awesome! (they made the Orange Krate, Apple Krate, Pea Picker, Cotton Picker, and Grey Ghost) These are awesome bikes and better than money in the bank! These bikes continually go UP in value and will make for a great investment!

*This bike was found by one of the local picker guys and recently removed from VERY long term storage! I got it just like you see it. I took MANY pics and have nothing to hide! Be sure to check them all out!

*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE!  Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore!  They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out Ebay, the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

NOTED FLAWS. The bike would need a resto for show or enjoy it in its current unrestored patina. The paint is original but does have obvious chips scratches wear age etc. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. (chrome could use a serious detail or restoration)  Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) I was told the front fender is not the one that was born on the bike. These are AWESOME bikes! Most people do not sell them who have them. I hope you love it! Take good care of this bike and it will only go UP in value! It is a better investment than money in the bank! If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.

*These bikes are cool! Flawless originals sell for thousands of dollars! Own this one for much less! People will ABSOLUTELY LOVE seeing you riding this one! Take it to a car show or cruise night! People remember these but never see them these days! People will talke about you and your cool bike for years! ENJOY THIS ONE!

*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. This awesome ride starts low with ABSOLUTELY NO RESERVE so bid early and don't miss out! This will sell to the high bidder! Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.

*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex. Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. If I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Thursday, it gives enough time to have it packed and ship Friday AM. If paid after that time, please expect it to go out with the next shipment.
