In den vergangenen Wochen beschäftigten sich bevorzugt die Redakteure der Glamour-Magazine mit dem Namen John Mayer ("Your Body Is A Wonderland") und den Gerüchten um eine etwaige Bekanntschaft mit Jennifer Aniston. Doch bereits in Kürze werden sich wieder die Kollegen der Musikfachpresse mit dem vielfachen Grammy-Preisträger auseinander setzen: Am 4. Juli erscheint unter dem Titel "Where The Light Is" eine brandneue Live-DVD des 30-jährigen US-Sängers, Songwriters und Gitarristen. Unter der Regie von Star-Fotograf und -Regisseur Danny Clinch (Johnny Cash, Björk, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters etc.) wurde ein einmaliges Konzert-Event mitgeschnitten, das am 8. Dezember 2007 im Nokia Theater in Los Angeles stattfand. Das Besondere: Nacheinander spielte Mayer drei Sets - einem Akustik-Auftritt folgte eine Performance mit dem John Mayer Trio (mit Steve Jordan und Pino Palladino) + zum Abschluss betrat er schließlich in Begleitung seiner kompletten Band die Bühne.
