Each panel is made of lightweight, powder-coated aluminum and easily slide behind the light fixture's existing glass. During the day, your light fixture may look conventional. Yet, at night, the panels prevent light from passing through its glass - only to emit a subtle downlight from the fixture's open bottom. While these panels will work for most current laws, Dark Sky and Turtle Protection legislation may have specific parameters that need to be met for a municipality or region. It is advisable to ensure compliance is met with these product additions. The 4812WH is certified and listed to UL/CSA/ETL standards for use in the USA and Canada.
