On early models which do not have an original equipment hydraulic mount fitted the solid mount, the cast bracket and the rubber ears should be removed and simply replaced with the Vibra-Technics mounting. This will require 5 new bolts which can be supplied for around £17.00.
This mount is intended for heavy duty/fast road use
NB: These mounts are also available as competition mounts, however the competition mounts will be too harsh for normal road use

The position of all mountings is described as it would be from the drivers seat. For example, Left Hand mounts are on the Gearbox / passenger side of a Right Hand Drive car.

Relevant Notes: This RH rear mounting carries a proportion of the powertrain weight and reacts fore-aft and lateral forces. By combining stiffness fore-aft and laterally with some compliance vertically we are able to reduce the engine movement and still retain noise and vibration isolation. It also gives vastly superior comfort and isolation from engine vibration over inferior aftermarket urethane mounts.

Competition mounts are not recommended for road use.
