This is a handpainted porcelain item, made exclusively for DEPARTMENT 56. It is dated 1986 and was retired in 1990. It comes with a cord with light and on/off switch. The church has a rustic look and feel. A light protrudes from the wall next to the front door and a snow dotted pine tree can be found on either side of the church...with ivy climbing the walls!
This piece measures approximately 11" high, 5.5" wide and 9" deep. It is part of the "Dickens' Village Series." **PLEASE NOTE that the box states that this is Item #6516-1. We have read conflicting information about which version of the church corresponds with this number. Our church has a deep, rich coloring which some describe as "butterscotch." We are not certain if this item was placed in the wrong box or not (although it is a perfect fit) or if we are mistaken about the numbering system.
