San Clemente, California
100 Block S. El Camino Real
SEA SHORE CAFÉ
SAN CLEMENTE PROPERTIES
BANK OF AMERICA
Circa 1940's
Originally known as
the Oscar Easley Building,
it housed the Bank of America, an early Chamber of Commerce, and City Hall. Now
it is the location of the Historical Societies Museum
filled with all aspects of the history of San
Clemente like black and white photographs, Nixon
memorabilia, and a chaise lounge of Ole Hanson’s, upholstered in the original
crushed red velvet and framed in hand carved wood.
The Historical Museum lost its lease at 101 S. El Camino Real, and was obliged to put its historical archives into temporary storage in February, 2007. As soon as the San Clemente Historical Society is able to arrange for affordable and suitable new space, it will re-establish its museum and research archives activities.
