read carefully.
Thanks for looking.
This is made from 1.5mm thick 304 Stainless Steel. It has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface that also helps give a better seal, plus removes all sharp edges.
It gives a cleaner pick up at lower revs because it stops exhaust gas being recycled. If the EGR valve is playing up, then the improvement can be quit dramatic on these engines. Should not put the engine management light on (never had one reported to me), so no hole needed which is why I don't list one.
Slotted to make it easier to fit, just loosen the 2 bolts, slip in the plate between the inlet manifold and the gasket, then tighten up the bolts. All pipes, and the electrical plug if it has it are left in place. Can also be fitted the exhaust manifold end (if it does not have the ring clip joint that some have), but the bolts may be rusted.

This fits the Euro3 vacuum operated EGR valve type pictured above only in the:

Ford Connect 1.8 TDDi  TDCi 2002 on. Note that the Euro 4 come out in 2005, but some Euro 3 were still sold as late as early 2007
    Ford Focus MK1  1.8   TDDi  TDCi  1998- 2005
    Ford Mondeo MK2, MK3 1996-2006

The Euro 4 has the motorized EGR valve and takes item number 110901472743 and is a different size, so is not interchangeable.

Benefits of blocking EGR

   1.  Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life.

   2.  Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs

   3.  Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power

   4.  Smoother drive and quit often better economy

   5.  Help to pass the MOT, as black smoke output is tested for

All plates are designed and researched by me in house over many years. I do not buy or have ever brought from other seller (most sellers are just engineering firms that have brought from each other-along with the repeated mistakes or Chinese drop shops), and have no idea about car engines, fault codes, and what can be causing them. I have been a mechanic for many years, and my number 4 son is also a trained mechanic of some years.

Below is one testimonial

Hi, I bought from you 2 blanking plates for the EGR valve, one was for my sons Ford Focus and mine for a Ford Mondeo. We fitted my sons first, as soon as we started the car up it sounded 100% quieter, took it for a spin and it is performing absolutely ace, fuel consumption is much better as is the whole performance of the car. I have an 04 plate Mondeo diesel, for the last 3 years I have had so much trouble with the glow plug light flashing and the code that comes up says the turbo is at fault, Ford was going to charge me £1633.72p for a new turbo, I fitted a second hand one myself and all was good for the first 3 weeks, then the old troubled light started coming on again, and I have always had big black clouds of exhaust emissions which have been getting worse. I fitted the EGR valve blanking plate, removed the codes and have been running the car for 6 days now, the car is running at tip top performance, the black smog has ceased from the exhaust, and the turbo is actually kicking in at 1600 revs, something its never done, the glow plug light has stopped flashing, but even better - the on-board computer, for the last 5 years has said I was getting 44.3 mpg, I took the car for a run up the motorway, by the time I got back home it read wait for it - 65.6 mpg, if you had told me that a simple and cheap fix would stop my troubles i would have laughed at you, this testimonial should be read by all ford owners, as judging by the forums, the EGR valve is causing a problem to many.
Many Thanks
Regards Tony.
