The PL-2303HX is a low cost and high performance USB-to-Serial Bridge Controller.
This USB to RS232 module provides the best and convenient way to connect your RS232
TTL Devices or demo board to your PC via the USB port.
Uses the common Prolific PL-2303HX chipset.
The PL-2303HX chipset provides a convenient solution for connecting an RS232 full-duplex
asynchronous serial device to any Universal Serial Bus (USB) capable host.
The PL-2303HX highly compatible drivers could simulate the traditional COM port on most
operating systems allowing the existing applications based on COM ports to work with USB.

The module is heat-shrinked wrapped in a transparent sleeve allowing it to be
safely handled even while connected. This sleeving can be sliced off if not required.
