This listing is for the REBUILDING of the Bosch
5.3 ABS control modules found on 1998-2001 Audi and VW vehicles. These modules are prone to failure and are extremely expensive to replace with new units. I have been rebuilding the earlier Bosch models for many years and have extensive experience as an electrical engineer and mechanic working on automotive control systems. I have been repairing these modules for many years. There are multiple failure mechanisms that occur on these modules -- I've seen them all and have developed special methods for each one. Check my feedback for references - I will do whatever it takes to make you a satisfied customer. I ship worldwide.

You are buying a repair service. Simply purchase this listing and wait for an email from me (within 1 day) with shipping instructions. You will then ship your control module to me, I will fix it typically within 1-3 days and return it to you. When you re-install the rebuilt module, the problem should be corrected. You may need to recode the module with the basic setting using VAG-COM or a factory tool; however, in most cases they are plug and play. If for some reason your module is not repairable or I cannot identify a problem, I will fully refund your money less return shipping.

This listing is for the rebuild of ANY Bosch 5.3 module. If yours looks like the one in the picture, buy this listing and wait for my email with shipping instructions. If not, look at my other listings or contact me. I can repair most types of ABS modules, Bosch modules especially.

More about myself and why you should choose me to fix your unit:
I warranty all of my work for life. Any problems, just give me a call and send it back. I don't play games others do requiring you to fill out lots of paperwork and pay additional fees. I love working on cars, Audis especially, and directly with customers and rely on customer feedback for further business. Your satisfaction is my number one priority. If you are unhappy, simply say so, and I'll send your money back through PayPal. No questions asked. I operate on word of mouth only and believe in treating my customers and people in general with courtesy and respect, rarely found these days in the auto parts and repair business.

This is a thousand dollar auto part requiring very delicate tools and skills to repair. I have a workshop complete with ultrasonic wirebonders, micro-soldering equipment, rework stations, test equipment, high resolution magnification for rework, and vacuum pumps for SMD rework. I have an extensive supply/boneyard of spare parts including relays and capacitors prone to failure on these devices. Watch out for the amateurs on ebay with cheap equipment and no proper training/experience. I have repaired thousands of these units for the better part of a decade at this point. Hire somebody else and they won't admit their mistake and send it back as "unrepairable" and keep your money. I see these modules all the time as I am often hired for second-look opinions after a super cheap repair attempt went south. Almost every time, I can see where the previous technician cut a wire he wasn't supposed to cut, damaged something when trying to dismantle it, or tried to use a soldering iron when it is totally inappropriate to apply heat (this kind of heat damage is the most common error I see). Often I can fix other people's failures, but I recommend getting it done right the first time and purchasing this listing from me at a very reasonable $89 including free shipping back to you. If you think my price is unfair, make me an offer. But at $89, you are getting an incredible value on this previously $1500 repair job.

If you live in the Kansas City region, and want to bring your car to me so that I can remove the module, repair it, and reinstall it in the same day, please contact me.
Please email me for more information before buying! If your module has been previously repaired or you have attempted repair yourself, please email me BEFORE buying. I repair failed DIY attempts all the time!

Warranty: I warranty my work for life with free follow-up service and support!
