This is a proven design that works well.  This is the only system available that mounts the booster directly on the firewall and has a revised pedal ratio.  Other boosters that simply "bolt-on" do not have revised ratio and typically result in a mushy brake pedal and less than optimum brake performance.  Several of my customers have removed the "other", or even the original power boosters because of poor performance and installed this system to improve the car's brake feel and performance.

Design Features include:
  1. Has revised pedal ratio (4:1 vs original 6:1) for same feel as modern cars with power discs.  The change in pedal ratio is required for power brake conversions.  It lets the pedal sit a little lower down so you don't have to lift your foot so high, has a lot less pedal travel, and lets the booster do the work for you.  Uses Ford type booster from Fox Mustang. (Used, New or Rebuilt BOOSTER IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS KIT)
  2. Heavy 10ga steel plate to weld to the front of the pedal support after removing existing flanges.  This provides the bolt pattern for the new booster, plus keeps all the forces exerted by the brake pedal contained in the pedal assembly rather than bending the firewall.
You can use your existing master cylinder, or just about any Ford fitment master cylinder you desire.  Unlike a factory original booster, this one has plenty of room for most any master cylinder you can buy.

This assembly is perfect for those wanting to add power brakes on their AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EQUIPPED 65/66 Mustang or cars equipped with MustangSteve CABLE CLUTCH System.

It has all the same features as the CK-165-M assembly for cable clutch equipped cars (see my eBay store for CK-165-M kit) but no clutch actuation parts, designed for automatic cars.

If you ever decide to convert from automatic transmission to a T5 or TKO transmission with cable clutch, just add the MustangSteve CK-165-P kit that includes the clutch pedal, adjustable pedal stop, adjustable cable and the billet aluminum adjustable firewall brace.  (see my eBay store for CK-165- P kit)

MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER ARE NOT INCLUDED.  One can be added at extra cost.  I carry several new ones for all types of brake systems.
