Liquid cultures are used to expand mycelium into a liquid solution to inoculate your chosen substrate. Like a multi-spore syringe, except the spores have germinated into a mycelial network and so forgo the time needed for spores to germinate. Since the spores are already germinated, colonization times are substantially faster and inoculated substrates have an edge over contamination due to speed at which they colonise. One spore syringe can be made into gallons of liquid culture. Liquid cultures are economical, as 1cc from a spore syringe can supply you with a large volume of liquid inoculant which can be used with many jars/kits.

How to use:

Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon dextrose and 1/2 teaspoon Light Malt Extract in 250ml (1 cup) warm water and autoclave/pressure cook for 25 minutes to sterilise.

Quantity sold (40g) can make approximately 10 litres, use 4g per 1 litre of culture media for a 4% sugar contraction, ideal % for most species.
