Coppell TV Repair LLC offers a REPAIR SERVICE for power supply DELTA DPS-222BP / RUNTKA857WJQZ as shown on the picture and used in SHARP LC-70LE732U and SHARP LC-70LE632U LED TV models.

REPAIR SERVICE means that you need to send us your malfunctioning board that we will inspect, test, service if necessary, test again and return back to you.

Note that this repair service listing is meant to address more complicated failures than the one covered in the above video as long as the below stated criteria is met.

For sake of simplicity we do not offer mail-in repairs at discounted price for specific tasks such as single component replacement.

HOW DOES IT WORK

The listed price is for eBay fees, testing, eventually repairing and returning the board back to you, subject to the below board requirements.

An email with shipping instructions is automatically sent once you place an order on eBay usually followed by a snail mail reminder to send your board.

You then package and send the board to us. You pay for the shipping to a carrier of your choice.

It takes about 2-5 business days after board's arrival at our service center for it to move up to the top of the queue and get processed.

Once we open the box we test the board and act depending on what we find out.

If the board arrives in working order you will be contacted. We wait for your response or a period of time and then eventually return the board. When board works we usually charge up to $25 in testing fees, the eBay/PayPal charges (transaction charges) and return S&H costs and issue refund for the reminding of the already paid amount. If the service was initiated at our site we just invoice for the amount due.

If the board is bad then we attempt to repair it.

If we succeed with repair we simply return the board back. Buyer receives tracking number.

If we fail to repair the board we contact the customer and usually end up cancelling the order and issue separate invoice for the return S&H cost.

(Since the final amount actually paid depends on whether the board is bad to begin with and on whether we are successful repairing it we have employed a practice of not charging upfront for service requests submitted through our website.

EBay does not provide means for such an option, but it is important to send documentation along with the board showing it was already paid for on eBay or we may simply treat it as sent through our site and send invoice after processing it.)

FAILURE SYMPTOMS

We have seen different failures in DELTA DPS-162KP-1 based boards
resulting in different failure symptoms:

  • Totally dead TV, showing no indication of power , no front LED and no response to attempt to power on via unit or remote power on button; this symptom may also be caused by a failed main board, but is much more commonly caused by a power supply failure.

    Some common indicators of such a failure are open main fuse F7001 or shorted rectifier D7950.
  • The TV may have standby LED indicator and may try to attempt to power on, but does not, resulting in series of blinks.

    This may or may not be the power supply at fault. If you can confirm the PSU gets activation signal and outputs PNL12V (12V) and UR13.2V (~13V to 14V) on its  PD connector.

Neither of the above is 100% guaranteed to be caused by a failed power supply board. A TV may be completely dead if the standby portion of the main board is damaged and may shut down for a number of other reasons beyond faulty power supply.

The list is also definitely not complete, i.e. there are a number of other ways in which a power supply could have failed resulting in a number of different symptoms.

PROCESSING TIME

Typical turnaround time is 2-5 business days after receiving the board.

This is the time it takes for a package that was received to move up the queue and get opened.

Once we open the package we usually have about 1 hour to get the case resolved or we will likely end up losing money on it.

Sometimes, depending on situation, we may leave opened box and make another try on the next day.

Note that it is not guaranteed that the queue will take exactly 2 or 3 days to process. Sometimes - especially after long holodays - it can be larger and take longer.

We do our best, but we have no efficient means of managing the work load on demand.


WARRANTY CONDITIONS

We offer 90 days warranty  on the successfully repaired and returned board unless it was explicitly voided with customer agreement due to condition of the board received.

In case of warranty event customer submits the board back to us at their own cost and are not responsible for parts and labor; we are then responsible for the costs of shipping the board back to the customer.

 
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOARD SENT FOR REPAIR
The board(s) we receive must be physically intact and must have not been tampered with or serviced before.

The advertised flat rate for repair service is only valid when the above conditions are met.

Exceptions are possible and often applied for minor repair attempts, but we reserve the sole right to judge if and when we would consider a repair minor.

If we receive board(s) that fails the above conditions we will contact the sender and usually offer two options: 1) returning the board(s) for the sole cost of the return shipping; or 2) continuing the repair service at a higher cost in case of success.

It is also possible, depending on the condition of the board, to eliminate the second possibility and just flat our reject having to service the board.

Subject to situation and availability we may also recommend replacement of the board, again at the higher than advertised price for repair.

In all cases you will have the option to receive your own board(s) back for the sole cost of the return shipping.
 
COSMETIC CONDITION

It will show signs of a service work, but it will look just fine.
