Thanks for looking
This fit's the engines listed below. The restrictor plate is made from
1.5mm
laser cut Stainless Steel and has the hole in so that the engine management light / warning does not come on when fitted. I list is without the hole in, item number 113128797031. It has been rumbled to make it smooth
(no sharp edges). It fits between the EGR valve housing and the pipe
that runs from the housing to the inlet manifold.
(See pictures in header pictures). The holes are slotted, so the
connecting tube doesn't need
to be removed, just loosened, and the plate can be slipped in and the
bolts re-tightened. Plus leave the EGR electrics plugged in, so that the
ECU can still see it connected. It gives a cleaner pickup at lower revs because it restricts the exhaust gas being recycled.
Will only fit the
Euro 5 1.6L 8 valve engine (DV6 C, DV6 D, DV6 D, DV6 FD, DV6 FC)
and
have a water cooler housing that the EGR valve fit's into (pictured in
header pictures). The 2 pictures of the rear of the engine are different as it depends on what car it is fitted in, so the plumbing can be different to be able to fit the engine in the available space.
Will NOT fit the older Euro 3 and 4 engines, Item number111555040241 and the engines are 16 valve not 8 valve.
Any ? please ask.
Benefits of blocking EGR
1. Cleaner engine oil
2. Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs
3. Helps prevents soot build up in intake
manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power
4. A smother drive, and usually better fuel economy
5. The car has a DPF / FAP and it will regenerate less, as there will be less smoke to trapped

All
plates are designed and researched by me in house over many years. I do
not buy or have ever brought from other seller (most sellers are just
engineering firms that have brought from each other-along with the
repeated mistakes or Chinese drop shops), and have no idea about car
engines, fault codes, and what can be causing them. I have been a
mechanic for many years, and my number 4son is also a trained mechanic of some years.
