100 yards heat resistant

DuPont KEVLAR® Sewing Thread

strong sewing thread, ideal for Shoe and Boot Repair, Fire Toys and anything, where extra strength and/or heat and abrasion resistance is required.

Listing is for 100 yards TEX50 DuPont® KEVLAR® Thread (not the cone in the picture!)

Heat resistant 3 ply, Size "B" general purpose KEVLAR® thread. Diameter 0.009 inches / 0.23 mm, about the size of a medium sewing thread with twice the strength and superior abrasion resistance.

Apart from sewing applications, this thread is great for Fly Tying (large Streamers, Salmon Flies, Saltwater Flies). It is at least twice as strong, as normal KEVLAR® Fly Tying Thread.

Ideal for Leather stitching, Shoe, Boot, and Luggage Repair, Canvas sewing and especially for Fireman's Boots, Welder's protective Clothing, Tools for Fire Performances (fire spitting, fire eating) and Toys for Fire Play, as well as any other application, where extra strength and/or heat resistance is important. KEVLAR® is heat resistant up to 750° Fahrenheit (begins to decompose between 800° F and 900° F). There is no flame or fire proof synthetic fiber, so KEVLAR® Thread will decompose if you hold it into a flame (mean temperature of a candle flame: 1,500° Fahrenheit!).

For those who, like me, are not "thread experts": The size looks like a regular sewing thread, but it's a hell of a lot stronger!

Free shipping after first 100 yards, so whether you order 100 yards, 500 yards or 1,000 yards, you pay the same shipping cost!

TO AVOID ANY CONFUSION: The picture shows a cone with 12.000 yd. of thread. You get one generic spool in generic packaging with the thread you order, so either 100 yards or multiples thereof in one continuous length.
