The locknut on the front strut can be very difficult to remove as the threads rust up. A molegrip can't grip the shiny surface of the strut rod.
With this Smart Workshop tool clamped on the rod, you just need a big open-ended spanner to slot round the clamp, and the strut top nut can now be turned easily from above.
