First edition.  Portuguese ode on behalf of John IV, King of Portugal (1604-1655) delivered at the coronation of John IV during the Restoration of 1640 which ended the sixty year rule by the Spanish Habsburg House.  King John IV, the first of the Braganza dynasty, was proclaimed king of Portugal and the Portuguese Empire after the revolution of 1640.
