Description
Nice new zero-order mica optical retarders. 0.550" diameter, 0.00137" thick. These are constructed from thin cleaved sheets of natural mica. Since the indices of refraction for the o-ray and the e-ray in mica vary only slightly in the visible, these retarders can be used over a broad wavelength range (400 to 700 nm) with a ±10% tolerance in retardation, although they are optimized at a single wavelength (633nm). Mica waveplates are recommended only for low power usage, due to inherent material inhomogeneities and absorption (up to 5% in the visible). Mica waveplates are frequently used in imaging systems, stress analyzers, detection schemes and with helium neon lasers.

Electrical components (including laser diodes) which are still in the sealed package may be returned for a refund of the purchase price less any shipping cost. Once opened, electrical components may not be returned.
All other items must be returned in the condition received and include all the original cables, paperwork and packaging. Shipping charges are not refundable and most items will incur a fee to cover testing and restocking the item. Items found to be damaged, altered or in any other way not resalable cannot be refunded.
