Make Sure You Get What You Pay For
Some sellers offer stainless steel flexes with aluminised collars which is why they can't offer a 3 Year Warranty. We use Stainless Steel (T304) throughout including the clamp on collars. Aluminised steel is a coated mild steel that will rot rendering the replacement part unusable. Make sure you buy a top quality part and that you get what you pay for.
Why ILOK?
ILOK is a flexible lining that goes inside the flex. It creates a barrier between the gas running internally in the pipe and the flexible bellows on the outside. This means that it can stand higher temperatures and keeps more of the heat in the exhaust gases running through the flex.
Who Is This For?
An ILOK flex has all the advantages of a standard or a lined flex but comes with the added bonus of extra performance. The higher temperatures keep the gases running quicker and smoother which improves the performance of the engine. If you are building a custom exhaust for your car, or you need to replace a flex on a custom exhaust this is for you. Equally if you want the best then go for an ILOK Flex.
What Other Types of Flex Are There?
The two other main types of flex are - braided and lined. Braided flexes are super flexible, whilst lined flexes are quieter than braided. An ILOK flex will last longer than a lined flex in most situations.
