What's in it?

The Carob Tree is native to the Mediterranean region and is widely cultivated for its edible pods. Also known as "St John's Bread" or the "Locust Bean", this is thought to be because the pods were the locusts eaten by John the Baptist in the wilderness. With evidence of carob pods being used by humans as far back as Ancient Egypt and Greece, this fluffy dark brown powder has a chocolatey taste and is rich in Fibre and Essential Minerals.
What are the Benefits?

Our Organic Carob Powder is High in Calcium, famous for its role in bone health. In proper balance with other vitamins & minerals it is essential in the maintenance of bone density and provides your muscles with the fuel they need to function. It is also High in Potassium which is important for normal blood pressure and works together with Calcium to support muscle health. Carob tannins contain Gallic Acid which works as an analgesic, antibacterial, antioxidant and antiviral.
Quality and Manufacture

All Carob trees are grown to full European Organic Certification standards. When mature, the pods of the tree are knocked from it, taking care not to disturb the flowers. They are then reduced to around 8% moisture and after separation from the beans the very best pods are selected to be used for powder. The pods are then milled to a fine powder that is fully tested for heavy metals, foreign bodies and toxic chemicals before being made ready for shipping.

All orders to the UK are dispatched by Yodel or Royal Mail. This includes England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands.

We also offer expedited delivery; this includes England, Scotland, Wales, but no islands or highlands.

All international orders to the rest of world are dispatched by Royal Mail airmail. (Does not include Africa)

• We offer a FREE delivery service by post on all items.

• We will dispatch all orders within 1 working day. Your order is important to us and so is our FAST DELIVERY TIME promise.

• All orders received are dispatched the same day where possible, but by close of business the next working day.

• The Yodel & Royal Mail First Class delivery service aims to deliver the next day, (however this is not guaranteed so in some cases can take a little longer.)

• If we cannot keep our customer promise to you, we will email you to let you know with an estimated real-time dispatch time, just to keep you in the picture.

ROYAL AIR MAIL TO THE REST OF THE WORLD

The Royal mail estimate these delivery times:

Western Europe within 3 working days, Eastern Europe within five working days, Rest of World within seven working days. (However this is not guaranteed)

WHAT TO DO IF MY PARCEL IS DELAYED

We can track & Trace your parcel if it is being delivered by either Yodel or the Royal Mail Expedited Service. If for whatever reason they have tried to deliver but could not , you can arrange for them to re-deliver the next day.

However if your parcel does get lost in the post we offer a full guarantee that we will send your order out to you again. We normally give a period of time until we call the parcel lost, as in many cases it has been held up and is delivered late. For the UK, we wait 15 working days, for over-seas we wait 20 working days and then if you goods have still not arrived we will send them again.

If you wish to cancel your purchase, under the distance selling regulations you have a period of seven working days from receiving your goods to do so. However at Indigo Herbs we extend that period to 30 working days. Please return the unopened products with a note of your order number and reason for cancellation. When we receive the returned goods we will refund you via paypal for the sale price of the purchase. (Not including additional postage costs).

If you are not satisfied with your products, please get in touch and we will arrange to send a replacement product or arrange a refund (if the product is unopened).All postage and package costs remain the responsibility of the customer, unless we delivered an item to you in error, or the item is damaged or faulty.
