In still photography and video, a matte box is a device used on the end of a lens to block the sun or other light source in order to prevent glare and lens flare. It performs essentially the same function as a lens hood and also mounts in front of the lens, but usually includes adjustable fins called French flags.
Another purpose of a matte box is to hold glass or plastic filters in place in front of the lens. Today, matte boxes are made for DV cameras and HD cameras for the same reasons as for film cameras.


This Fotga DP3000 matte box is specially designed for most of the dv cameras with wide angle lenses.
It also works with standard 15mm rails, center-to-center rails distance 60mm.

● Swing-Away : Wide Angle Mattebox has a Swing-Away Feature. You can easily swing-away the mattebox without disturbing the camera from the tripod and rail system and mount the mattebox again on the camera within a second. The knob on the top of the swing-away bracket helps you to swing the mattebox from the setup.

● 2 dual-purpose filter trays,supportinh 4"x4" filter.One of the 2 filter trays is rotatable,which will be helpful when you use gradual ND filter.

● French Flag/Side Flags : The flags provide extra flare reduction and improves the quality of videos. The side flags are quick removable. They can be attached /detached easily. The flags are attached firmly on the sunshade mattebox by hinge mechanism. The side flags can be opened to the desired length by using the small knob provided on the flags.

● Compatible with wide angle lenses.

● Compatible with 15mm rod ,center-to-center rails distance 60mm.

● There are 2 15mm hole with center to center 60mm on the bracket by side,which makes you able to mount some other device by side.Besides,2pcs 15mm rod (20cm in length)included.

● Height can be adjusted by 3.5cm.
