Explanation of the WTB/Suntour Grease Guard System:
"In a matter of seconds, you can inject fresh grease into the convenient injection ports which provides superior lubrication for bottom bracket bearings and cups. 
Dirt and impurities are purged at the same time, to increase the life-span of your new bottom bracket."
"The WTB (Wilderness Trail Bikes) patented "Grease Guard" system allows purging of the bearings, and replenishing of their grease, without disassembly.  Only the crank arm dustcaps need to be removed; the grease is then injected via a pump or 'gun' thru the special, hollow crankarm bolts. Special seals inside each cup deflect the old grease outward, through the outer seals, so that it doesn't get trapped inside. There are also neoprene seals inside each dustcap, to keep the channel in the crankbolts clean."
