For sale is this Vivitar 28-50mm f/3.5-4.5 wide angle zoom lens for Pentax K mount. Sale includes a Vivitar 58mm Skylight 1A filter with hard case and front and rear lens caps.


Cosmetics on this lens are excellent. Black surfaces have a nice dull shine in ambient light. Painted letters and numerals are in excellent condition. There is a bit of minor, superficial wear from normal use/storage on the grip of the aperture ring. Rear mount is metal and shows minor wear but shines brightly in ambient light. Please see pictures.


Glass on the lens is crystal clear: no dust, no haze, no fungus. An odd detail about this lens is that the internal walls where the lens barrel meets the ring of the glass elements has some light discoloration. It makes the lens look rather unsightly when its under lights for photographing, but there is nothing wrong with the glass—it’s extremely clean!


Function on the lens is: good working order. Focus ring turns smoothly and zoom moves easily. Aperture ring turns smoothly and makes a soft click at each f/stop.


If you’re a Pentax K shooter and need a nice wide angle zoom lens, this lens has GREAT glass and should serve you well for years to come. Don’t pass it up!
