This is possibly the ONLY FULL IP44 RATED SCHUKO HOOK-UP ADAPTOR available on eBay.

Most others use Domestic / Household Schuko Plugs not intended for Outdoor Use. Many of those have no protection against Water Ingress and, often, use cable with individual wire cores of only 1.5mm sq or less.

Not only does the IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment limit the Current for 1.5mm sq conductor to 15A and, obviously, even less for smaller conductors, both the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club require Hook-Up Cables to use conductors of 2.5mm sq size.

At the extremes of power usage and at the full 25m length of any Hook-Up Cable, smaller than 2.5mm sq conductors can result in cables overheating and presenting a real fire and safety risk to your Caravan and Family Members. 

These adaptors use connectors protected against water ingress to the standard IP44 (suitable for use in heavy rain but not total immersion in water and exceeding any protection that an ordinary household plug can withstand) and capable of carrying currents up to 230V 16A, matching the supply capabilities of the bollard. They also use 2.5mm sq conductor cable which is actually rated up to 230V 25A, far in excess of anything that any site bollard is capable of supplying. Of 'Arctic Grade', they are also good for use well below freezing temperatures.

The Schuko Plug is a 'Dual Earth' design allowing it to be used in both French/Belgian and German/Austrian areas, and other countries that adopt these standards for electrical connection.

SHIPPING

We use only Royal Mail for our shipping.

Shipping Second Class is included in the majority of our listings. This is a 2-3 day non-guaranteed service and fulfilment is wholly out of our control. Often, deliveries are achieved in as little as 1 day but, in very rare and exceptional circumstances, this has been known to take over 1 week.

Where an improved service is required, a First Class option is available as you go through checkout. This is a 1-2 day service but, again, non-guaranteed.

TRACKING

We are extremely limited by Royal Mail in our abilities to track shipments. A reference number will be provided as soon as an item is released for shipping, but Royal Mail can only track when a delivery (or delivery attempt) has been made, not progress through the delivery network.

We have no means of accurately confirming the exact location or delivery date through Royal Mail and, in the past, their only advice in attempting to locate delayed or lost items is to ‘wait 15 days and file a lost item case’.

SPECIAL DELIVERY

Where delivery is time critical, a Special Delivery option is available. This is a next-day by 1:00pm guaranteed service with deliveries only on Monday to Friday.

eg… an item ordered on Monday should arrive by 1:00pm Tuesday… an item ordered on Friday should arrive by 1:00pm the following Monday.

We can not offer a next-day service for Saturday delivery.

As the majority of our product are bespoke, cut off for the Special Delivery option is 1:00pm.
