Coppell TV Repair LLC offers a REPAIR SERVICE for the main board BN97-01985T /  BN94-01723K shown on the picture and used in Samsung LN52A550P3FXZA LCD TV.

REPAIR SERVICE means you have to take out and send us the board from your TV so that we can service, test and return it back.

If the board you take out of your LN52A550P3FXZA has a different number and looks slightly different from this picture you can still send it through this listing. There are a number of different board versions / releases that are used in different batches of the TV's production cycle that are compatible with each other.

This listing can be used for any one of them, but please make sure to read through the below sections to avoid some common mistakes and be informed and prepared on what we offer and how we work.

We may also offer board exchange (purchase and send yours back for credit) or DIY repair kits for this board through eBay or elsewhere.

BOARD FAILURE SYMPTOMS

There are several different ways we've seen that board fail and, without a doubt, a number of others that we have not seen yet.

Therefore you should know that the below list is meant as a guidance based on our experience and not as a certain let alone complete list of indications that the board is bad.

Some of the symptoms, such as TV power cycling may also be caused by failures in other boards. For example the power cycling can and we have seen caused by a faulty power supply.

That said, here are some common symptoms we have seen when this main board is bad:

1) TV turning on and of (power cycling) and, if left for long enough, sometimes succeeding to power on and operate normally;

2) TV starting up normally , playing the Samsung startup sound and sometimes showing a picture before shutting down; it may remain shut or it may restart or attempt to restart a few times as explained above;

3) TV starting up properly and operating for some time then freezing or losing completely picture and producing loud pitch / screeching noise from the speakers; it may shut itself off or stay in that condition unresponsive until disconnected from power.

HOW DOES IT WORK

This is a flat rate testing and repair service, meaning we will attempt to repair any problem with the board within that price as long as the board we receive meets our requirements (see separate section below).

The price you pay includes return shipping within USA, but you need to ship or otherwise deliver the board to us at your own costs.

Depending on what we find out and what we do you pay the listed price or less (details explained further below).

You start the process through the  "Buy now" button at the eBay listing page.

eBay requires upfront payment for the service, which is in contrast to the way we do to our direct clients. We wish we could do the same through eBay , but have not found a way to make it happen, sorry.

Upon completing payment, an email with shipping instructions is automatically sent by our server. It is in addition to all the emails sent by eBay/PayPal regarding the service purchase. We may also send a snail mail reminder via USPS, usually on the same day.

The email we send contains shipping instructions, including the shipping address for the board you want us to test and service.

Following the instructions you package and send or otherwise deliver the board to us.

Once the board is delivered it takes 2-5 business days for it to move its way up the queue and gets processed.

Processing itself is usually same or next day.

If the board arrives in working order you will be contacted for details. If you want the board back as it was found we will withhold a diagnostic fee of up to $25 plus the return shipping costs plus the eBay transaction costs and issue refund for the rest.

If the board is bad then we attempt to repair it.

If we succeed we usually send the board back without communication. eBay sends tracking information as soon as we print a shipping label.

If we fail to repair the board we contact you with details. We issue you a full refund, a request to cancel the transaction on eBay (since no repair service was provided) and request payment for the return shipping of the board.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOARD(S) SENT IN FOR SERVICE
The board(s) we receive must be physically intact and must have not been tampered with or serviced before (except by us, of course, in which case they'd carry our service tag).

The advertised flat rate for repair service is only valid when the above conditions are met.

Exceptions are possible and often applied for minor repair attempts, but we reserve the sole right to judge if and when we would consider a repair minor.

If we receive board(s) that fails the above conditions we will contact the sender and usually offer two options: 1) returning the board(s) for the sole cost of the return shipping and issuing partial refund reflecting our costs to the moment (notifications and eBay/PayPal fees); or 2) continuing the repair service at a higher cost in case of success.

It is also possible, depending on the condition of the board, to eliminate the second possibility and just flat our reject having to service the board.

In all cases you will have the option to receive your own board(s) back for the sole cost of the return shipping (i.e. cancelling the order and invoicing for return S&H alone).
 
WARRANTY AND RETURNS

At the time of creation of this listing eBay offers no warranty for service listings.

As you can easily find out we are a component level repair service company and have a standard 90 days warranty policy on most of the repair services we offer, including this one.

A board returned for warranty service must arrive in good physical condition and without traces of a 3rd party tampering.

Customer pays shipping to us and we pay shipping back to customer.
