This is a simple to fit Treble Bleed kit/mod suitable for use with Gibson Les Paul or SG guitars and their clones with "Humbucker" dual coil pickups, which overcomes the slightly dull flat sound that some guitars have when their volume control is rolled back to lower volume settings.

This kit is made up of a "Green Hornet" Mylar capacitor and a high quality 1W Metal Film resistor, which is a lower noise alternative to the smaller resistors often fitted in similar kits.

Please note that some guitars may be fitted with single coil pickups and we have another Treble Bleed kit for those guitars that will work better.... if in doubt about your guitar, check before ordering!

This kit should be soldered between the hot end of the guitar volume control and the centre output lug as shown in the drawing below. It works by partially bypassing the volume control at lower volume settings but only for the higher frequency part of the plucked note, brightening up the tone at lower volumes.
