2 Mekugi

(Bamboo sword pegs)

 

Mekugi are important parts of the Japanese sword. They hold the handle in place and act as a locking mechanism. Traditionally, swords only needed one mekugi.

Most modern swords, however, require two.

Our Mekugi are made of bamboo and are slightly tapered for that tighter fit

 

You may need to shave the Mekugi for a perfect fit.

Size: 14mm x 6mm approx.
