This is an original set published in  1970 and they are in Mint Condition. You are buying from one of the largest stockist of cigarette and trade cards in the UK and have been trading since 1927.

  This set of 64 cards are based on the 1970s British sci-fi classic UFO which was created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson and Reg Hill and ran for a single season of 26 episodes. The cards are a mixture of cartoon drawings and real photos from the show. The basic premise of the story is that in 1980 Earth is visited by aliens from a dying planet who begin abducting humans to harvest for their organs which is maybe a precursor to an actual invasion. To combat this threat an organization known as SHADO is formed (which stood for Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation) with bases on the moon and on Earth. SHADO has its headquarters in a secret location below a film studio and its activities are kept secret from the general public to avoid panic. The backs make up into one large picture of the SHADOW staff and vehicles.
