This listing is for an Antique German / Germany Beer Stein / Mug / Tankard 1/2 Liter capacity Hand Painted in great detail with a hunting scene with hunter , gun firing, deers and dog running , two side panels , one decorated with a deer and the other a dog , with hunted hanging dogs on each side , 3 raised heads near top rim , of boar , dog and deer with deer head chopped off and missing, about 1/3 way from each other, and three similar head near bottom, raised out , of a boar , a deer and a dog with the dog's mouth area having glaze loss as shown.
Two inscriptions , one around and near top rim, and other going around near bottom , on a brown ground , which I can not fully read or translate but it is something like :
Top ------- >>>>> ? Ein guter Hund, Ein ruhinger Sdiuss ?
Bottom ----->>>>> ? Da ist die jayd , ein Horgenuss ?
Base is raised / hollow / footed.
Incised marked under glaze at "GERMANY" , "946" and "11" in clay at base. Also a hand written mark in rust paint "4" ? as shown.
It is marked 1/2 L on the wall of the top rim near the handle.
It measures 8 9/16 inches in height , 4 3/8 inches widest base diameter, 3 1/16 inches top rim diameter weighing 1097 grams net weight.

In good antique displayable as shown condition with a chip to top rim as shown together with previously mentioned faults..
