Bing & Grøndahl was a Danish porcelain manufacturer founded in 1853 by the sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and merchant brothers Meyer Hermann Bing and Jacob Herman Bing. The trademark backstamp for Bing & Grøndahl (B&G) porcelains is the three towers derived from the Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. In 1987 the company merged with its primary competitor Royal Copenhagen. The colours of the paint used for this spectacular line of figurines is Lapis for the blue and KT Gold for the brown. That is why there are no brush strokes found, the precious metals and semi precious stone colours meld with the porcelain.
