Impedance transformer, 50k ohms to 600 ohms. Connect a Mic to a Guitar Amp. Low-Z to Hi-Z transformer maximises signal transfer and clarity.

  • Description

SWAMP Impedance transformer, 50k ohms to 600 ohms
Opposite to a DI box. This device is used to match impedance between a mic level signal and a Hi-Z guitar level input, maximising signal transfer for maximum volume and clarity.

There is a switch on the device to change the direction of the impedance matching, meaning the transformer can be used in the opposite direction.

Plug a Microphone into a Guitar Amp
Typically it would be used to plug a microphone (low impedance device) into a guitar amplifier (high impedance / Hi-Z input). If you attempt such a connection without using such a device, the output signal from the amp will be much lower.

    Features:

    • Impedance transformer 600ohm to 50k ohms (Low-Z to Hi-Z)
    • XLR(f) 3 pin to 1/4" TS Jack
    • Maximses Power Transfer

Please Note: This item is around 20cm in length, designed to attach to the end of an existing microphone cable before plugging into your amplifier or guitar pedal.
