There is almost no greater fun than kayak fishing. However, safety is a different matter. As an experienced kayak fisherman, I can tell you that no matter what color of kayak you have, they tend to blend into the background at a distance. Some colors faster than others. This is especially true if you are paddling or fishing with the shore in the background. Anything that helps you be seen is worth the investment. The Railblaza Whip Flag is a good choice and can be the difference between being seen and not. We share the waters with fast boats so being seen is essential.
Take a look at the picture of my Viking Profish Reload. It is a pretty yellow and black. Yet at just a 100+ yards away the kayak can be extremely hard to see. My wife has a red and black kayak and often the first thing I see is her white paddles moving up and down and the whip flag. The kayak itself looks black at a distance. The Railblaza Whip Flag is inexpensive but can pay off in a big way.
