Only the mat is for sale, the 124 secondary platter and 45rpm pop-up adaptor are for photographic purposes only.
Why cork? Well, I prefer some LPs with the cork mat. It started with an Alexandria which came with one. I noticed
a difference in several areas when I fitted the acrylic XTM1. They're both the same nominal thickness, so experimentation
was quick and easy (for me).
Some feedback for other XTM2 mats:
See Hi-fi World, November issue "Stone Age" article. Northwest Analogue restoration of Garrard 401 included XTM2.
Incidentally, this is a fine product supplied at a very reasonable price and proved to offer a massive sonic improvement
over both the XTM1 mat and Avon Audiomat I'd been using previously, neither of which are ideal partners for the TD160.
The most significant improvement however was down to the mat's ability to suppress surface noise. I would also add
that your cork mat performs on a par with my friends Blue Horizon mat, which was a revelation to us both and is entirely
the reason behind my passionate plea for you to amend the description accordingly.
(This was to do with the diameter of the mat, customer chose the larger XTM2 eventually - JC).
